A REFLECTION FROM MY STUDY

"A man and his wife travelled from Scotland to Bedfordshire, during the peak of summer in 2004 to visit the zoo.

There, they saw a monkey playing passionately with its female partner.

The wife remarked to her husband, "What a romantic animal this monkey is.”

Further on, they saw a Lion and Lioness separated from each other with the silent Lion sitting alone in a corner as if the Lioness did not exist.

This time, the wife’s remark to her husband was, "What a sad scene without love."

Her husband then said to her, “Throw that stone at the Lioness and observe what happens.” When she threw the stone at the Lioness, the Lion roared menacingly to defend its Lioness!

When the same thing was tried with the monkeys, the male monkey then jumped up and climbed the tree to save its own skin, and abandoned the female.

Her husband then told her, “Do not be deceived by what you see in an outward display of romance. On many occasions, it turns out to be deceptive in appearance, just to hide an empty heart; whereas the ones who appear relaxed and withdrawn, may have hearts filled with sincere love."

Today, there are many in the monkey lane, and just a few acting like the Lion.

" Let love be sincere and genuine, and let us be a real "Adam and Eve" couple, created with undefiled care, and showing goodness towards one another.

Let us not be " fair weather people” to one another no matter the situation, because I believe we were created to support, care and love each other.

Being a "die-hard lover" of country music since my youth, 50 years ago, I could not pass up the opportunity to share one of my favourites with you. I hope you have the possibility to carefully reflect on the words of George Strait in "I cross my heart".

The lyrics are below. The music can be played/heard on YouTube or any social media outlet for music. It is a powerful message reflecting inner love and not superficial.

I Cross My Heart

"Our love is unconditional; we knew it from the start

I see it in your eyes, you can feel it from my heart

From here on after let's stay the way we are right now

And share all the love and laughter that a lifetime will allow

I cross my heart and promise to

Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true

In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine

You will always be the miracle that makes my life complete

And as long as there's a breath in me

I'll make yours just as sweet

As we look into the future, it's as far as we can see

So, let's make each tomorrow be the best that it can be

I cross my heart and promise to

Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true

In all the world you'll never find, a love as true as mine

And if along the way we find a day it starts to storm

You've got the promise of my love to keep you warm

In all the world you'll never find, a love as true as mine

A love as true as mine"

I cross my heart by George Strait

God bless you.

 All the best this autumn.

Uncle George.
